Growing up in Gatlinburg, Tennessee made me start loving trout fishing at a very young age. I would spend as much time as I could on the river with my father and grandfather learning the best places to sneak up on trout and come home with my limit as much as possible. As I got older, I was fortunate enough to be able to travel around East Tennessee (Cosby, Tellico, Roan Mountain) and Western North Carolina (Soco Creek & Cherokee) fishing other trout waters.

As a child, you fish with what catches fish, which mostly consists of live baits (corn, dough balls, red worms, etc). Watching my grandfather use an inline spinner intrigued me to start using inline spinners as well. As the years passed, I would faithfully use inline spinners making it more of a challenge to catch fish. To this day, I carry a rod & reel in my truck along with some inline spinners to stop for a few minutes to fish when I can.
